I found this podcast on “Why Art” quite relevant to our discussion of the festival.  I moved the start forward 7.5 minutes because it took the first speaker that long to say art differentiates us as individuals.

Tickets are now available at the Rollin Art Centre, and Char’s Landing. $20 adults, $15 seniors and students (13-18), $50 family pass (2 adults and 2 students) and children 12 and under are free when accompanied with adult pass. The Solstice Arts Festival, June 17th-19th, brings four Alberni Valley arts groups together under one umbrella for an unforgettable weekend of artists, art exhibits, music, theatrical performances and street entertainment fun for the whole family.

The Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley – “Days with the Arts” spearheaded the Festival, joined by Portal Players Dramatic Society, Alberni Art Rave Society and the Art Matters Society – F.A.C.E., in bringing this new community event to the Rotary Arts District.
